Susan Finished the Yellow Sundress

Sew, I have finished the yellow sundress and jacket. I did  don the dress and ask my beloved to take photos of me, but it is early morning and there was no good location that would show off the dress, and allow me to have my eyes open. Sew here is the dress and the jacket hanging form the red bougainvillea beside my house.

Tthe buttons on the jacket  were a gift from my friend Maria. Ten years ago when I met her for the first time she was wearing a pretty yellow and white dress. I  said ” Maria, i love those buttons, when that dress wears out, I want them.”

 Eight years later, on my birthday, Maria presented me a tiny box with four of the buttons inside. And here is a close up:

The buttons are placed to fit my curves, not the pattern markings, so they look a little off. But on me, they are fine. And I remembered to use my sewing machine to attach them. And yes one is square. I love them!

The fish button in the center is one from the many I   received on my 50th birthday.
